About the writer

My name is Marian Daniells. I’m an undercover tomboy from San Diego and a journalism major at Northeastern University in Boston. I’m a freak about lists, my black lab, Chip, and the natural high I get from sharing things I shouldn't. I love the thrill of living spontaneously and the whir of my computer (Lloyd).

As far as journalistic credentials go, I’ve worked at Marie Claire magazine, held positions (Inside Columnist, Inside Editor) at my college paper, done some work with the local Fenway News, and work with the New England Newspaper and Press Association (NENPA) writing obituaries and transitions. I'm also currently working on setting up a brand new publication at my school called WOOF Magazine.

My personality is pretty prominent in my writing (or maybe you know me). I’m a weird mix of east and west coast: one part laid-back, adventurous California native, one part intellectually-driven Bostonian and one part in-your-face New Yorker. I’m a lover of quirky non-fiction, nonfat extra hot lattes and the reckless pursuit of my very own Mr. Darcy. I’m a chocoholic (I’m secretly thrilled that the spell check recognized chocoholic as a word) and a wearer of toe rings. I believe in love, family and the life-changing power of red lipstick.
